Parents, Teens, and Periods:
The Role of Parent-Child Pain Communication in Adolescent Dysmenorrhea
The Family Health Lab at the University of Saskatchewan is aiming to better understand parent-child factors that may be impacting adolescent menstrual pain in order to improve current interventions. We are recruiting adolescents and their parent to participate in one of two options that involve online surveys.
- The first option is to complete the online questionnaire. Participating in option one includes entries into a draw for 1 of 5 $50 Amazon gift cards.
- The second option involves completion of the online questionnaire followed by one month of daily surveys (~5 minutes per day). Participation in the second option includes entries to win 1 of 5 $50 Amazon gift cards as well as guaranteed compensation for the daily surveys (up to $15 for both parent and adolescent).
We are seeking:
- Adolescents 12 to 18 years old who menstruate
- A parent who currently menstruates or has previously menstruated.
